Juliette is part of this new generation of contemporary artists who borrow the techniques and excellence of craftsmanship, adding their artistic vision and transcending them through a definitively contemporary approach.
Graduated in law and art history, Juliette Clovis first worked in the field of communication before choosing to dedicate herself entirely to her art after a second training in graphic design at the Gobelins School.
Porcelain, Juliette Clovis' preferred material, allows her to explore two areas of artistic and technical research: the idea of the cycle of life and death, and the search for a balance born from contrasts and oppositions. Her technical mastery enables her to bring to life monumental sculptures with undulating, organic forms that immediately immerse us in her baroque creative universe, inspired by nature.
Juliette Clovis, porcelain as a medium to question humanity's relationship with nature
A committed artist-artisan, Juliette Clovis explores the relationship between humanity and nature, as well as the progressive destruction of the latter, by creating busts where fauna and flora adapt to their environment and reclaim their rights over humans. Exhibited worldwide and featured in the permanent collections of the Louvre, Juliette Clovis continues to captivate us with her unique and unprecedented style, as well as her exceptional craftsmanship in the world of artisanship.
A renowned artist with a strong universe, we were immediately enchanted and amazed by the talented and unique Juliette Clovis. Her knowledge of the material, technical mastery, and sense of excellence make her a valuable partner of Caractères Paris.
