Founder – Development & Strategy

Caractères was founded by Daphné 4 years ago. Before becoming an entrepreneur herself, she spent six years working in start-ups, both in the fields of art and in finance, in an agency whose role was to evaluate start-ups for major groups. Daphné allies an in-depth expertise within the world of art with a comprehensive mastery of the development challenges facing both brands and businesses.

Vanessa Cots

Creative and Strategic Planning Manager.

Vanessa is an expert in branding and editorial strategy as well as an extremely experienced copywriter. For over 20 years, she has worked in a variety of communications spheres (branding, retail, advertising, digital promotion and corporate relations), with highly reputable agencies such as Publicis, Carré Noir and Les Ouvriers du Paradis.
For over ten years, she has worked as a consultant for premium and luxury brands in the fashion, beauty, jewellery and watchmaking, wine and spirits and hospitality sectors, as well as for cultural institutions.
At Caractères, Vanessa is in charge of strategy and head of creative development.

Camille Fernique

Senior Project Manager

Camille holds a double Master’s degree from the Audencia Business School and the IEP (Institute for Political Studies) in Paris. She has several years of experience in cultural and creative institutions, including the Cent-Quatre and the French Senate’s Cultural Committee. She brings together a genuine curiosity for the arts with the thoroughness essential in the support of creative artists and major companies in the production of large-scale projects.

Juliette Le Blay

Project Manager

Holder of a Master’s degree from the Skema Business School, Juliette has also had two years’ experience in global communications in advertising agencies and in-company advertising departments in the luxury sector, most notably for cosmetics brands, and has thus developed wide-ranging project management skills. This enables her to meet the demands of clients who lend great importance to the artistic side of their public image, as it requires a keen sense of aesthetics as well as operational pragmatism.

Hugo Riesenmey

Product Designer

Hugo is a graduate of the Boulle School and Ensaama. He was the winner of a competition to design furniture for the Council of Ministers, organised by the Mobilier National and the Manufacture des Gobelins. He combines creative design skills with a broad technical knowledge of arts and crafts.
After acquiring experience in interior architecture with Laurent Dray Interior Design and at the Mobilier National, Hugo now works in co-operation with artisans and craftspeople in the development of projects for Caractères.

Léopoldine Maigne

Junior Strategic Planner

After graduating from Audencia, Léopoldine gained her first international experience working in Rome for a cultural association and then for Publicis Media in Belgium. She is gifted with a genuine capacity for analysis, a taste for story-telling and great sensitivity towards the visual image. She recently joined Caractères in the role of strategic planner.
